Located at 10 North Rock Glen Road, the 120-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab, and long-term residential care.<\/p>\n<p>Physiatry services \u2013 also known as physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&amp;R) services \u2013 blend pain treatments and physical therapy with the goal to help patients avoid surgery. This physician-led, \u201cwhole body\u201d approach at Westgate Hills centers on designing, coordinating, and overseeing customized rehabilitation therapies for patients while managing their medical conditions, including co-morbidities. The program is tailored for individuals with a range of diagnoses and rehab needs.<\/p>\n<p>Board-certified in PM&amp;R, Dr. Perez-Bravo serves as a physiatrist consultant with Progressive Care Medical Group of MD, focusing on their nursing facility clients. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, Association of Academic Physiatrists and American Academy of PM&amp;R.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased to join Westgate Hills\u2019 dedicated team in offering progressive, patient-centered skilled nursing care,\u201d said Dr. Perez-Bravo. \u201cOur customized rehabilitation programs will optimize outcomes for patients, aiming to help them regain independence and get back to everyday activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Westgate Hills developed the new offering with Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility. \u201cThe addition of Physiatry programming will help maximize Westgate Hills\u2019 rehab services and assist in improving patients\u2019 functional outcomes,\u201d said Marquis\u2019 Nikki Gachot, regional director of market development. \u201cWestgate Hills is thrilled to welcome Dr. Perez-Bravo as its director of physiatry.
